The chipping machine is designed to prepare high–quality test samples required for thermal extension and tensile testing of cable insulation and sheath material. Built according to IEC 60811 test standards, the machine ensures uniform and damage–free specimen preparation for reliable laboratory testing.
Supported Tests
All tests follow the requirements
defined in
IEC 60811 cable testing standards.
Step 1 – Power Check
Connect the Power Supply and ensure the emergency stop switch is released.
Step 2 – Start the Machine
Turn the forward/Reverse Switch to the forward direction and adjust the speed control knob.
Step 3 – Adjust Roller Gap
Set the gap between the upper and lower rollers slightly smaller than the specimen thickness.
Step 4 – Smooth the Surface
Adjust the rollers to remove the rough surface of the specimen.
Step 5 – Prepare the Sample
Insert the specimen, rotate it 180° and chip both sides until the thickness reaches 0.8 – 2mm.
Step 6 – Chipping Objective
Ensure the Sample becomes thin and Flat for testing.
Step 7 – Optimal Cutting Setting
Maintain a 0.1 – 0.2mm gap between the cutting edge and roller for best results.
Step 8 – Cutter maintenance
Remove and polish the cutter if it becomes worn.
