PROFILE PROJECTOR WITH METROLOGY SOFTWARE FOR MEASURING CABLE INSULATION THICKNESS
Sipcon Profile Projectors are best suited for measuring cable insulation thickness of all types of cables including PVC and XLPE ranging from 0.1mm to 150mm cable diameter. The measurements are done as per the guidelines laid down in IEC 60811-1-1 standard. The bigger workstage can easily accommodate large samples as big as 150 mm in diameter. The standard accuracy is 5 microns which helps users precisely measure the insulation thickness so as to save on insulation material costs. The minimum resolution of 0.5/1 microns provides accurate readings up-to 4th decimal place with a magnification ranging from 10x-100x as specified in the IEC 60811-1-1 standard. The Profile Projector has a lens turret in which multiple lenses can be mounted and then with a quick rotation the required magnification lens can be used without losing time in lens set-ups.
PRECISE MEASUREMENTS
The glass encoders used to measure workstage movement is highly accurate TTL type with an error of less than 1 micron in 1000mm travel. Moreover the high signal to noise ratio ensures precise measurements
CLEAR & CRISP IMAGES
A flawless optical system projects a clear profile image of the part with sharp edges onto the grounded glass screen enabling operator to easily probe points.
ZERO MAINTENANCE
The workstage runs on cross roller guides mechanism for frictionless movement. Moreover the thread less axle gives zero backlash with no wear tear and does not require maintenance.
OPTICAL SYSTEM
Multi-layer coated, parafocal lenses provide exceptional image contrast even on the edges of the screen. Magnification range is available from 5X to 200X. A turret lens system enables quick setting of the desired magnification lens.
ROTARY RING
0 to 360 deg rotary ring moves smoothly on bearings providing better cross hair centre accuracy. Four chart clips are provided for holding the profile charts on to the screen
Integrated SPC
Inbuilt Trend Monitoring and Statistical Evaluation of any measured parameter like minimum insulation thickness is an important feature of the Cable Quickie software. The Trend Analysis of any measured variable with the different parts which is important to understand the variation in the batch being inspected.
