PROFILE PROJECTOR WITH MICROMETERS FOR CABLE INSULATION THICKNESS MEASUREMENTS
Sipcon Profile Projectors with micrometers can be used for measuring cable insulation thickness of PVC, XLPE cables ranging from 0.1mm to 50mm cable diameter. The measurements are done as per the guidelines laid down in IEC 60811-1-1 standard. The standard accuracy is 5 microns which helps users precisely measure the insulation thickness so as to save on insulation material costs. The minimum resolution of 1 microns provides accurate readings with a magnification ranging from 10x-100x as specified in the IEC 60811-1-1 standard. The Profile Projector has a lens turret in which multiple lenses can be mounted and then with a quick rotation the required magnification lens can be used without losing time in lens set-ups.

A flawless optical system projects a clear profile image of the part with sharp edges onto the grounded glass screen enabling operator to easily probe points.

The workstage runs on cross roller guides mechanism for frictionless movement. Moreover the thread less axle gives zero backlash with no wear tear and does not require maintenance.
Optical System
Multi-layer coated, parafocal lenses provide exceptional image contrast even on the edges of the screen. Magnification range is available from 5X to 200X. A turret lens system enables quick setting of the desired magnification lens.
Rotary Ring
0 to 360 deg rotary ring moves smoothly on bearings providing better cross hair centre accuracy. Four chart clips are provided for holding the profile charts on to the screen
